Step-by-step instructions on how to setup Microsoft 365 email on iOS device (iPhone/iPad)
This step-by-step guide will show you how to set up a Microsoft 365 email on an iOS device (iPhone/iPad). If you prefer to use POP or IMAP to access many different types of accounts, including Office 365, please follow these instructions.
If you have an Android device, please follow these steps.
Setting up Microsoft 365 email account in Outlook:
1 | Go to your iPhone or iPad's Settings > scroll down and tap Accounts & Passwords > Add Account. Note: If you’re using iOS 10, go to Mail > Accounts > Add Account. | |

3 | Enter your Microsoft 365 or Exchange email address and a description of your account. Tap Next. Tap Sign In. | |
4 | Enter the password associated with your email account. Tap Sign in or Next. | |
5 | The Mail app may request certain permissions. Tap Accept. | |
6 | Choose the services you want to sync with your iOS device and tap Save. You're done! |
POP and IMAP settings for Microsoft 365:
Incoming Server: outlook.office365.com
Username: Full email address
Password: The password associated with your email account.
Incoming server port: 993 for IMAP, or 995 for POP
Encryption method: SSL Enabled
Outgoing Server: smtp.office365.com
Outgoing server port: 587
Encryption method: TLS
Outgoing authentication: TLS
