Email blacklists and whitelists

Specific email addresses or domains that send users spam can easily be blacklisted. Emails that are unintentionally getting marked as spam can be whitelisted, which is the reverse of blacklisting.

Add an email address to an email address blacklist/whitelist on Cloud Hosting

  1. Log into the Console
  2. Manage the domain you want to make changes to
  3. Click Email
  4. If not enabled, tick the box next to Anti-Spam and Email Archiving and click [Update]
  5. Click Manage Anti-Spam and Email Archiving
  6. Navigate to the Whitelist/Blacklist panel
  7. Select the type of list you wish to manage
  8. Modify the list as required

Available Whitelist/Blacklists

Note that Whitelisting an email address within The Console will not prevent it from getting placed on a DNSBL. Below is a table explaining the various Whitelist/Blacklist options available on Cloud Hosting.

Add an email address to an email address blacklist/whitelist on cPanel Hosting

  1. Log into the Console
  2. Manage the domain you want to make changes to
  3. Click cPanel
  4. Click[Manage Account (opens a new window)]
  5. Click on the SpamAssassin icon
  6. Click [Configure SpamAssassin]
  7. Enter an email address in the blacklist_from/whitelist_from fields
  8. Click [Save]
