Viewing email headers

Email headers provide detailed information about an email including the sender (from), recipient (to), and date information. They also include a unique message ID and time stamps which assist system administrators to locate specific emails when searching through email logs.

Our support staff may request a copy of the email headers as they are useful when investigating a number of issues including email delays, duplicate emails, bounce-back emails, etc.

Please see below for instructions on how to find email headers in various mail clients. When sending email headers to our team, it is best to copy and paste them into a document (such as notepad or Word) as they can be long, and then attach the file to your reply email to us.
