File compression and archiving on cPanel Hosting

Follow the below instructions to compress and extract files on cPanel Hosting plan
  1. Log into your Console
  2. Click on cPanel and log into your cPanel account
  3. Click the File Manager icon
  4. Select Home Directory
  5. Select public_html directory. See the image: User-added image
  6. Select the file(s) you wish to compress/extract
  7. Click on the Extract or Compress icons located in the top menu bar
  8. Select the options you wish to use and continue
