# Overview of .US Domain

The .US domain is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the United States. All .US registrants must meet the usTLD Nexus Requirements.

## Information Required

To complete your .US domain registration, please select one option from each of the categories below.

### 1. Application Purpose

* Business use for profit
* Educational purposes
* Government purposes
* Non-profit businesses, clubs, associations, religious organisations, etc.
* Personal use

### 2. Category of Applicant

You will need to confirm whether you are a US citizen/resident or have a business registered or present in the US:

* **Natural Person – U.S. Citizen**
* **Natural Person – Permanent Resident**
* **U.S. Corporation** – an organisation incorporated in the United States
* **Bona Fide U.S. Presence** – an entity that regularly engages in lawful activities in the United States
