# How to change the PHP version for your Webcentral Managed WordPress website

> Learn how to change the PHP version for your Webcentral Managed WordPress website.

It is important for your WordPress site to run the most recent, up-to-date, and secure version of PHP. If you've just moved an older site that was running version 5.6, 7.0, 7.2, or 7.3, you'll want to change the PHP version once your site is updated to take advantage of the latest performance enhancements and features.

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the Webcentral Panel at [https://theconsole.webcentral.au/](https://theconsole.webcentral.au/)
2. In the left sidebar, click **Managed WordPress**:

3. On the **My Websites** page, locate the site, and then click **Manage**

6. After you change the PHP version, check your site to make sure that it still operates normally. If it doesn't, make sure that the WordPress Core, WordPress theme, and all WordPress plugins are up to date, even if they are deactivated.
